Check Out the 2021 Ford Explorer at Keller Ford Lincoln

Outstanding family vehicles are hard to come by in Hanford. Most of the three-row SUVs available have good credentials but almost always lacking in something. However, one vehicle that has perennially impressed most of the drivers in this area is the Ford Explorer. In its sixth generation, the Ford Explorer is back roomier, more efficient, and filled with standard safety features. Moreover, the new Ford Explorer is one of the vehicles in this segment that offers drivers options in the engine department. At Keller Ford Lincoln, we have witnessed the Ford Explorer's development over the years and recognize it as one of the market's solid cars. For buyers shopping for a new family car, we recommend the 2021 Ford Explorer.

Interior Features

The new Ford Explorer is a comfort haven. Its default configuration is a seven-occupant cabin with a three-person second row and a two-person third row. If you fancy a pair of captain's chairs instead, the occupancy reduces to six. Moreover, the second row can slide, so the third-row legroom is abundant, even for adults. The interior is well designed with lots of high-quality fabrics. Most of the surfaces are covered in soft-feeling materials, and should you want a more premium feel, there is the Platinum trim. You will get a leather-trimmed interior with real wood finishes on the dash and door handles in the Platinum trim. The storage space is also very impressive. Behind the rear seat is 18.2 cubic feet of storage, which is expandable up to 87.8 cubic feet.

Performance Features

As aforementioned, not many three-row midsize SUVs offer engine options around Fresno. However, with the new Ford Explorer, you have plenty to choose from. In its lineup, Ford availed the Explorer with four options: a turbocharged I4, a hybrid, and two V6s. Most Explorers will be propelled with the turbocharged I4 making 300 horsepower. This will be available with both RWD and AWD; via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The second option is a hybrid engine pairing a naturally aspirated V6 with an electric motor. This pairing is good for 318 horsepower with an efficiency of 27/28 mpg. Next up will be a twin-turbo V6 driving the Platinum trim, and is good for 365 hp. Finally, for those thrill seekers in Tulare, the Ford Explorer ST is powered by a twin-turbo V6 and is good for 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque.

Safety and Technology Features

The Ford Explorer comes with the latest technology to keep you comfortable and entertained. You can have an eight-inch touchscreen or a prominent 10.1-inch vertically-oriented display at the center of the dash. The infotainment feature allows for many features, including Wi-Fi, satellite radio, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system. Most of the convenience features are power operated, including power-adjustable seats, powered liftgate, heated side mirrors, and keyless entry/ignition. The same car also has plenty of optional features like heated and ventilated seats, power-folding seats, a 12-speaker B&O stereo, and a 360-degree view camera.

The new Ford Explorer also comes with lots of standard safety features to keep you safe around Lemoore. Every new Explorer comes with Ford's CoPilot 360 driver assistance suite that offers the following features:

  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Lane-keeping assistance
