The Ford Explorer is getting a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, providing it with a variety of design updates, improvements and upgrades. Let's take a look at what you can expect from the 2024 Ford Explorer when new models start arriving at Keller Ford Lincoln in Hanford.
The New Ford Explorer Active Trim
The Active trim level was introduced on the Ford Escape a few years ago. For 2024, the Ford Explorer will also gain an Active trim level, which will replace the XLT model, providing a sportier package that includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, exterior chrome details, power-adjustable driver's seat with memory, independent climate control for the rear seats and many others. The performance-focused ST and the luxurious Platinum models will not be replaced.
New Exterior Style and New Interior Features
The front grille, rear fascia and headlight configuration of the Explorer receive some updates for the 2024 model year. Ford is also redesigning the rear liftgate with an improved mechanism.. While they are not drastic changes, they help ensure that the Explorer can continue to provide Lemoore families with a beautiful and elegant SUV.
Inside the Explorer, Tulare drivers can expect to see a larger center touchscreen for the Ford SYNC® infotainment system, which is reportedly getting some default Google apps in addition to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The touchscreen display will also be horizontally oriented, unlike current top Explorer trim levels around Fresno, which have a vertically oriented display. Ford is also giving the entire dashboard a new look, but the company has yet to release exact details on what this will look like.
